There is so much talk about these make money taking surveys businesses and Bigspot.com just so happens to be one of them. In this Bigspot review, I want to show you everything this company is about and how the whole survey taking, money thing works.
People like to call it a “horrible survey company”, but they are really bashing the wrong people. Don’t shoot the messenger people! You just gotta love all the criticism. Here is a little more insight on Bigspot.com
What is Bigspot?
This website is what I like to call a hub for different survey companies that will pay you to take different surveys. Bigspot will NOT pay you, but the sites they refer you to will and that is where people get mixed up.
The site is very simple and consists of just a couple of pages, with the main one being a page of different survey sites. However, Bigspot does have a connection with you and they can market to you whenever they want with some good ole email marketing.
The company actually started out in 2008, but didn’t start making a scene until 2010. Being an internet type of make money online thing, it has caused a bunch of hype when they started to advertise on TV.
How it Works
As an affiliate with Bigspot you will have access to their offers. They usually have about 6 sites that you can use, to start taking surveys, but I’ve heard that there used to be way more.
You get signed up with these sites and then you fill out the surveys, while getting paid in the process. These surveys can take anywhere from 30 mins to an hour and pay between a quarter and $5, depending on the survey.
This can be very time consuming and is something I wouldn’t recommend if you are trying to create a solid work from home business.
How it Really Works
When you signup to these survey sites through Bigspot, what will they get? First of all, they have your email address, so they can market to you whenever they want and I think there is nothing wrong with that at all.
However, Bigspot is way too aggressive in this department and it has really irritated a bunch of people. This is why people like to say they get spammed.
There are many different surveys to take and they are more than willing to pay you because big companies like them need these surveys to be taken. Bigspot just so happens to use this as their way to cash in.
Will you become rich like it shows in the commercials? Of course not, and this is probably the biggest complaint about Bigspot.com. All you hear is “this is false advertisement”. I haven’t heard that phrase used until I came across these guys, although I think there are many, many others that do the same thing. What makes Bigspot any different? Is it the commercials?
Who This is For
Bigspot is really for everyone. Okay I take that back. Taking surveys online is for anyone trying to make a little side cash and maybe enjoy taking surveys. I guess that would be the target audience.
However, Bigspot will own you if you do decide to signup with them. I say own, because they can email you whenever they want, with different offers that they “think” will interest you.
It’s a great idea and all, but this site is targeted to someone that is not very familiar with the online world and is looking to make money, which is everyone and their mothers by the way.
Can You Actually Make Money Taking Surveys?
Absolutely. You can absolutely, positively make money taking surveys online. However, I really don’t think it is worth the time and it doesn’t pay very well.
Taking surveys is very time consuming and sometimes they pay too little. I do know of some people that actually have made like $500 a month doing this, so I think you might want to see for yourself. Just don’t come back here and start bashing me for it.
If you want to make a good amount of money, there is always affiliate marketing. This is by far the best way to make money online and my absolute #1 recommendation to anyone trying to make money from home. I recommend using companies like Wealthy Affiliate because they have a great training platform, as well as 1 on 1 coaching to create a legit online business.
From what I’ve seen out there, there are actually quite a number of unhappy campers. Not only is it already time consuming to do these surveys, but some people say they couldn’t “qualify” for most of the sites. Here is a couple of complaints that I got from sitejabber.com.
Pros & Cons
Just like anything out there, there’s always the pros and cons. With Bigspot, it just so happens that there are a lot more bad than good that come out of this site and also the reason most people aren’t happy with them.
- You CAN make money
- Great idea
- Is free
- Too many complaints
- Won’t make you rich like they make it seem
- Survey sites don’t pay well (I mean you’re only taking surveys, what did you expect?)
- Poor use of email marketing, aka spam
Is Bigspot a Scam?
I can be straight up honest with you and I can say that Bigspot is not a scam. It is a clever idea and I think it’s totally legit. However, the programs that are on the site seem to be the problem. All Bigspot is doing is advertising for them and that’s about it.
Now would I recommend Bigspot? Probably not. I have tried the whole survey taking nonsense and trust me it does work. It is just not worth the time and it pays pennies. Point is that you can actually make money JUST by taking surveys.
In the end, just stay away from things like this and you won’t have a problem. There are people that take these survey sites seriously and some people make a decent amount of money. Like I said, it’s just very time consuming, but they will pay you.
You can find these survey sites with a good ole Google or Bing search, so if you don’t want to be swamped with unwanted emails from Bigspot, then I suggest you find these sites on your own.
I hope you found this Bigspot.com review to be helpful to you and your hunt for a way to make money online.
