There is some buzz surrounding the multi marketing company Team National that deserves some investigating.
As is the case with any MLM many people are not quite so sure what to make of this company.
Is it a scam, or a legitimate earning opportunity? The question is fair. After all, in the world of MLMs we have seen plenty of both. Figuring out whether or not a company of this nature is a good opportunity or not takes time.
That is why we have done the work for you! If you would like to find out more about Team National, read on!
So, What is it?
Well, as we already mentioned, Team National is an MLM, which means that from an employment aspect, people interested in marketing their products or services can do so by paying fees and then earning commissions off of their sales.
In the case of Team National we found that the initial fee seems to be around $55, though affiliates are encouraged to purchase a membership to their program, which costs $2200.
While the $55 number should not promote excessive anxiety, there certainly is something to be worried about with the second component. While you do not have to join their program to be involved in selling it, it seems a little strange that you wouldn’t, right?
After all, in general, the world of affiliate sales is populated by people that actually use the products that they are trying to sell. And chances are, you probably don’t want to have to spend $2200, just to try and sell something.
So, if you are already sketched out a little bit, that is understandable.
But all of this said, there are things to like about this company. It has been around for forty plus years (which is always a good sign) it boasts an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and it is also very involved with philanthropic pursuits, which is always nice to see.
Of course, none of this matters more than what you will be selling, right?
Interestingly, Team National does not actually have a product or a service.
What you are actually selling is a membership to a discount club.
The discount club membership gives buyers the opportunity to shop at a variety of websites and stores at a discounted rate. Which sounds appealing, right?
But there are a lot of issues.
The first obstacle that you are going to have to overcome if you want to sell this membership is the price. As mentioned earlier, the $2200 package that they push on their marketers isn’t exactly cheap.
And if you weren’t interested in buying it yourself, you might imagine that other people are going to feel similarly.
There are actually two price points for the membership.
The $2200 is going to buy you lifetime access to discounts, which might or might not be worth while depending on where and how often you shop.
The other package that they sell is two year access, which costs $795.
This figure is, of course, a little bit less intimidating, but there are still going to be a lot of people out there that don’t want to spend almost a thousand dollars for what equates to a coupon book.
The other issue is that these coupons just aren’t very good.
We aren’t talking about coupons to Walmart, Target, or other major stores that you go to a lot.
This isn’t a discount on everything that you buy for the rest of your life.
In fact, most of the discounts are for sites you almost definitely don’t shop from.
We are talking about dog food websites, and other places that you just aren’t going to get your money’s worth out of if you weren’t already shopping there.
Does this mean that there is no money in selling what Team National has to offer?
We will dive into the specifics of the financial situation at this company in the minute, but it is safe to say that these are very real hurdles that are in the way of your potential success.
You also need to keep in mind that this is a one time sale type of transaction.
While there are plenty of MLMs that make it easier to build a monthly income through the accumulation of regular customers, at Team National you are going to need to continuously find new customers to make your commissions.
Like most MLMs, Team National also places a premium on recruiting other sales affiliates. This means that you get paid bonuses for convincing other people to do what you are doing.
In addition to pressuring you to buy the program, the company also encourages you to pressure friends and family into also joining up, paying fees, and becoming a sales representative.
While this is not uncommon, it does always make an MLM feel a little bit shady.
The fact of the matter is that most people (about ninety percent) make no money at all through Team National.
The ten percent of people who do make money average at around $600 a year.
Does this mean that you can’t make money at Team National? No, but it does mean it isn’t going to be easy.
Earning is entirely commission and bonus based, and you don’t even earn a cent from your commissions until after your second sale.
In short, this doesn’t look like a full time job opportunity, and if you aren’t good at it, it probably won’t be much of a side hustle either.
Team National Complaints
Every single multilevel marketing company is going to come with complaints and there is not a thing we can do about it.
Does that mean it isn’t legit?
Not necessarily but it helps to understand what you can really expect from other members.
There have been complaints about the products/service but there were actually a lot more positive reviews about this company.
Now of course anyone who has invested in something will never talk bad about it until they feel that things are just not going their way.
At the end of the day, everything is pretty much recruiting based and the main goal for any of its members is to get you to join them so they can make money.
Not a scam but definitely something that might be looked upon as a ponzi scheme or a scam, which I disagree with.
So, should you join up? The answer to that question is tricky, because while Team National seems like an entirely legitimate company, there is also a lot not to like about how they do their business.
Ultimately, you are going to need to decide for yourself whether or not Team National is worth your time.
If you do decide to try it out, we recommend holding on to your day job as there are just too many people that don’t make it in the MLM industry.
What I Really Think
I used to think that MLM was the only way for the little guy to create financial freedom but after some failed attempts and a lot more understanding of how everything works, I realized that it just wasn’t for me.
Convincing people to purchase my products just so I can make money is just not my thing.
I prefer giving people products they are already looking for in the first place and that is why I am glad that something like affiliate marketing exists.
If you are simply looking to make money (because I’m sure almost every single one of you are), then you at the very least need to try a program called the Wealthy Affiliate.
What they have there is some training that will show you how to sell other people’s products without having to recruit a single person.
Thanks to that business model, I have been able to work from home for the past 4 years and I’m glad I don’t have to play the recruiting game anymore.
Other than that, thanks for reading my Team National review and I hope that I have given you more than enough information for you to make a smart decision.
Now you tell me, is Team National really for you?
